I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions in consideration for being permitted to participate in the Egg and Spoon Racing National Championships event (hereinafter referred to as 'the Event'). By signing this waiver, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

1.Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that participating in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical exertion, adverse weather conditions, varying terrain, and the potential for injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in the Event, including those that may arise from the negligence or carelessness of the organisers, volunteers, or other participants.
2.Medical Condition: I certify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently prepared to participate in the Event. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician or other healthcare provider prior to participating if I have any concerns about my physical condition or ability to safely participate.
3.Release of Liability: In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the organisers, sponsors, volunteers, or any affiliated individuals or entities involved in the Event from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
4.Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, sponsors, volunteers, first aid officers, medical and paramedical practitioners, or any affiliated individuals or entities involved in the Event (collectively known as the 'Released Entities'), from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses for death, injury, loss, or damage of property, in any way arising out of my participation and actions in the event, including, without limitation, any and all claims resulting from the negligence of the Released Entities.
5.Media Release: I consent to the use of my name, likeness, voice, and/or appearance in any photographs, recordings, or other media captured during the Event for promotional, marketing, or other related purposes without compensation or notification. If I do not wish to have my name, face, or voice featured in any media content during the Event, I will contact the Event organisers and discuss this with them directly.
6.Compliance with Rules and Regulations: I agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by the organisers and officials of the Event. This includes, but is not limited to, following all course directions and treating all participants, volunteers, organisers, and spectators with respect and common courtesy.
7.Equipment Safety: I acknowledge that I am responsible for ensuring that the spoon I use is safe for competition and free of any modifications that may provide an unfair advantage. I also understand that all eggs provided by the Event organisers must be used as is and cannot be substituted or altered in any way.
8.Fair Play Agreement: I agree to compete in the spirit of fair play, without intentional interference with other participants. I understand that dropping my egg may result in disqualification or penalty, as determined by Event officials.
9.Acknowledgment of Understanding: I acknowledge that I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms. I voluntarily agree to be bound by its provisions and enter into this agreement freely and voluntarily without any inducement, assurance, or guarantee being made to me. I understand that these conditions may change at any time, and I will read them again prior to participating on the day of the event.
I AGREE that I have read and understand this waiver and release of liability and voluntarily agree to its terms.
If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must read this waiver and agree to the terms and conditions on behalf of the participant.
